Springing into Spring

Good Morning Everyone!!!
Beckie here today with a 'Springing' Challenge for you!

Spring is here (honestly!!)
I love it when the seasons changes from winter to spring and the air is filled with new life!

Today I would like to challenge you to make a card with a 'spring' on it somewhere.  The design team have come up with some amazing creations to help inspire you!  Some of the creations have 'springs' to make them 'wobble'!

And now for a little special treat for one lucky person!

This week digital stamp store 'Little Blue Button' is sponsoring the dare and have a $10 gift certificate to give away!

All you need to do is leave a link as usual to show us your finished creation and you'll be entered into the prize draw. The winner will be picked at random and announced ahead of next week's dare (Friday 5th April). Big thank you to Little Blue Button for offering this cool prize! Don't forget to check out their store, http://digitaldesignsby.blogspot.co.uk/ maybe there's something there to inspire your 'Springy' card creation!

Chalkboard creations

Hi everyone!

It's Nat here bringing you this week's dare.

Over the past few months I've been seeing a lot of beautiful pins on Pinterest showcasing various types of Chalkboard Artwork.

From gorgeous handwritten signage to amazing murals in homes and businesses...

Even Oprah has got in on the act!

You've probably also seen this trend taking off in the stamping world too. I didn't realise just how effective and easy it could be to incorporate this look on handmade cards until Betsy Veldman shared her fantastic tutorial on just this technique on her blog here.

So this week I've challenged the design team and you to...
Create a card that pays homage to the chalkboard look

Ideally I would love it if you could try the heat embossing technique, but if you don't have the supplies there are plenty of fonts and printables out there that you could use to replicate the look.

Here are the gorgeous cards the design team created:

Make a cute angle

We loved seeing all that type last week. Now we want to see some sharp shapes. Geometry is all the rage in cardmaking so we would like to see geometric shapes in play as you
Make a cute angle
its a play on words really - "a cute angle" is like "acute angle" get it? Or perhaps not... If you can make your acute angle cute then that would be fab too. However you interpret the dare we would love to see the results. Here is the team's take ...

Typography

Big thank you to everyone that joined in with Sharon's Colour Combo challenge last week it was fab to see all your lovely chocolatey limey cards!
This week it's Leo here and your new challenge is:
'Typography'
I'd like you to use typography as the main basis for your card design. Typography is basically putting together letters and/or words to form an aesthetically pleasing or artistic design/arrangment. So you're making the letter/words the main embelishment of your card.
Take a look at the fab cards the design team have come up with this week and if you need more ideas take a peek at Typography pins on Pinterest, http://pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=typography
Have fun!
x Leo
