It's elementary...

Hi everyone!

It's Nat here welcoming you to a brand new week of daring cardmaking. :)

Thanks for playing along with Kathy's "Another Dimension" dare last week - I hope you're ready to get your thinking caps on!

This week, as the title suggests, I'm challenging you to pick 3 elements from the image below and feature them on your card:

There are lots of lovely card-friendly elements in this image, the more you can include the better - can you easily spot the elements the design team have used?

Here are a few ideas to get you started: needlecraft theme, washi tape, postage stamps, butterflies, pockets, pearls, florals, ribbon flowers, pompom trim, gingham, fabric.

You can use the colours as inspiration, but you must combine them with at least two other elements from the photo. :)

Happy crafting!

Another Dimension

Hello and Welcome to another Daring Cardmakers Challenge - this week it's me, Kathy, here with something to get you thinking and crafting (I hope!).
Before  that though, we all want to thank you for sharing so many wonderful ideas with us for Lythan's "Flags" challenge last week.  We really enjoyed seeing what you made.
Thanks too for all the lovely messages you've left over the last few weeks - it's so good to know you appreciate the challenges we come up with and that you like to see what we've been making.
On to this week

Another Dimension
not Time Warps, Little Green Men from Mars, or anything else
"other-world"
I just don't want to see any flat, regular sort of cards this week - instead I'd like to see lots of interesting folds and shapes; Stepper cards, Card in a Box, Pyramids, Flip-it type cards..... Anything goes as long as the finished, standing-up card is more 3D than 2D.

This is your chance to try out all those techniques and tutorials for unusually shaped and folded cards that you've been saving!  Yes. we all do it, don't we?

Here's what our DT have come up with this week

Flag it up!

This week I dare you to
Flag it up!
By which I mean I want you to make a card inspired by a national flag. You can use the flag elements as a sketch, or the colours or a motif (stars and stripes for example) You can be patriotic and use your own flag or show your love for all nations by choosing the flag of a different country.

Take a look at what the fabulous design team have come up with

Lythan - Japan

Leo - Canada

Kathy - England

Miri - The Netherlands
Svenja - Great Britain (Ireland, Scotland, England)
Nat - Great Britain
Sharon - Great Britain

Jo - United Kingdom

And now it is over to you!
Don't forget to link to the actual blog post and it means a lot if you leave a comment as well. Thanks so much for joining in this week

April Colour Challenge

Another month has whizzed by. Which means it is time for the April Colour Challenge. Although it is Spring and heading for Easter we are having none of your pastel colours here. Instead we are going loud and proud with a touch of grey to cool us down!

Isn't this Design Seeds combo fabulous?

lets see what deliciousness this colour combo has inspired in the Design Team.
