Tear It Up

Hello Crafters.
A big thank you to everyone who played along last week for Leo's dare called Lets Go Geometric.
Its Dawn here with this weeks challenge and I have called it:
Tear It Up
I would like to see something torn on your creations.  So lets get ripping up those background papers, toppers, die cuts etc... and leave the scissors alone.   A simple challenge or so I thought.  I found it so hard to rip my precious designer papers.  I am so glad there were a few of each design to play with.
Here is what the Team came up with

Let's Go Geometric

Hello All
Thank you to everyone who shared their lovely creations with us for Sharon's 'Mirror, Mirror' dare last week - so many wonderful ideas to see!

It's Leo here with this week's challenge:
Let's Go Geometric

I'd like you to create a geometric pattern on your card.
It can be cut from patterned paper, created with stamps or stitching
but it has to be made in some way by you, not just a ready made patterned paper.

A geometric pattern is a pattern consisting of lines and
geometric figures, such as triangles, circles and squares, that are
arranged in a repeated fashion.

Here's what the team made this time to help inspire you

Mirror Mirror

Hello Crafters!

It's Friday, so its time for a new challenge.
First though we'd like to say thank you for joining in with our Inspiration Picture Challenge last week.
It was a fun picture to work with, we hope you enjoyed it.

This time its Sharon setting the theme:
 Mirror, Mirror
At this time of year, with Winter dragging on (well, in the northern hemisphere anyway1) we really need a bit of something shiny to brighten the days, So,I simply want to see something reflective on your card!
It could be foiling, shiny stickers, miri card, or even mirrored tiles.
Go on, Let it Shine!!!

February Elemental Inspiration

Good Morning Card Makers!

Thanks to all of you who shared their ideas and creations about what you'd like more of for the (almost) new year. We saw some great cards and some very interesting and inspiring wish-lists.

We have sad and happy news to share this week. We are sad to say that Purvi is leaving us as work and family commitments are getting in the way of crafting time, but you never know, she may be back.....
The good news is that having spent a few weeks with us Shabneez is now joining our permanent  DT member, so we will see more of her fab cards.
This week we are very happy to welcome a new Guest Designer,
Ruth Cunliffe aka Tip Top Toppers
has been a friend of The Daring Cardmakers for a long time and its lovely to be able to show her cards on our blog for a few weeks

Talking of almost new... it's the first Friday of February already, so time for a brand new Elemental Inspiration challenge...
All you need to do is choose at least THREE elements from the photo and use them on your own creation (colours only count as ONE element).

If you still don't quite know where to start... here's some inspiration by the DT members for you:
